The radical extremist side of Islam is very popular and you can choose to ignore it all you want but the threat is very real and its here. It's managed to go unchecked and has been able to spread around quickly through certain mosques and through social media so if you ask me its the violent ideology itself that the extremist guys have been pedaling around. |

This has been a known thing for quite awhile and is pretty much the mantra of our intelligence community. This is sort of why one of the things that the FBI or NSA look for in cases of radicalization is whether or not a suspect is being alienated or is alienating themselves from society. That's a good way to start the ball rolling on home grown terrorism. |
