how do i make my mic sound bad?

There are various methods the pros use really it's just a matter of what works for you and what you're comfortable with

* Put it in a tuna can - this works well but beware the sharp edges
* wrap it in plastic wrap - muffles and protects from dust
* put it way back in your mouth/throat - definitely makes a mess of it
* stick it in a Hoover - this is nearly to effective
* cover it in cooking oil - you can use butter if no oils around
And that's just a fraction of the possibilities

You're right I should have put that before Hoover that makes more sense
