This is a good business decision. Actual content updates result in little marginal gain, while porting your game to an entirely new, untapped market is extremely profitable. Buying an early access game is essentially paying them off to stop developing. As it stands, I like PUBG enough in its current form that it isn't a totally unacceptable reality, but anyone who expected massive changes needs to brush up on economics. |
