Plethora:

Aif is unsure of what Yana plans to do with what from this distance appears to be dirt.  As Yana gets closer, however, it becomes clear that it's clay she carries, and Aif believes that she intends to make some pots or something.  Aif, having little knowledge or inclination toward pottery, tends the fire.

SWAT One:

Yana arrives at the hut, setting down the large stone at the entrance behind her, gaining her bearings, blinking and moving hesitantly as her eyes adjust. "Aif, would you give me a hand with removing the griddle-stone? We can take two thick branches on either side and lift it off the support stones."

Plethora:

Aif pauses, then gets up to help, keeping half an eye on the sky all the while.

--- Quote from: SWAT One on March 08, 2018, 10:21:08 AM ---The boat jolts suddenly as a wave hits it starboard-side, throwing him into the side of the stairway and bumping him into a soldier who is coming up from the lower decks, no doubt annoying him but not seeming to make him exceptionally angry. "Hey, watch it." The soldier continues on up to the upper deck and turns toward the stern.

Theric is hit with a wave of rank, humid and tepid air from the rowing deck. As his eyes adjust, he sees a mix of some soldiers and some other men in poor quality trousers with no shirts on their backs. All of them is rowing. A soldier spots Theric and calls him to take a seat on the bench.

--- End quote ---
Theric grunts, a glance offered to the man he bumped into and with a rolling of his shoulders. He eyes him for a second before he simply turns back and gets ready to continue down. When the sudden atmosphere of the lower deck hits him, Theric's nose flares and he keeps himself from showing his distaste with a tight pursing of his lips.

Theric glances over to the bench, looking back to the soldier for a moment or two before he heads over to take a seat down- assuming he'll be joining in the rowing. And if he is, he'll be doing his damnedest too. He doesn't want to get caught in another storm of all things.

SWAT One:

Yana positions the logs underneath the stone and picks squats down to get under it, then standing to lift it off the fire with Aif. The bottom is blackened with soot and reddened by the heat of the fire.

She tries to move in a pattern that promotes safety. "Outside."

The first raindrops begin to fall at the hut.

Theric gets to rowing and they reach the port in safety, despite some of the waves crashing through the portholes used for the oars. They arrive back, as the storm comes in full force, dumping heavy sheets of rain down on the land, and blowing with gale-force winds. Drenched in sweat and seawater, at least they've made it back to port. The men are released to help secure the boat to the dock. A team of several men are struggling with pulling the main rope to shore and seem to be losing the battle. Some other men are tossing the cargo to the men standing on the dock. Ikhannuk is barking orders to his men.
