| SWAT One:
Theric assists the men loading the cart, loading all the casks on to it's bed. The men thank Theric and give him a small deerskin bag tied closed with deerskin leather bands. Inside it is a large, hard, dry, baked cracker. Asking these men about the cloak results in them exchanging looks, smiling suggestively before patting him on the back as they pass him by, heading back towards the house. A boy leading a strange bird creature—larger than he had ever seen—heads for the cart as Theric leaves. « Theric has discovered the Khaliyuna » On his way toward the larger building at the center of town, he asks a few others who seem friendly or courteous. The men smile, the women stare, and the girls giggle. As he arrives at the large building, he finds there are guards posted at each entrance. Any other greeting he returns is met with an earnest smile. Quenched my the dew of the morning, Aif feels a new vigor. The red berries that he had eaten before are not short in supply, and he eats plenty. The birds that flit about enjoy their taste as well. The round taralki berries are sweet and tart in taste and full of numerous small seeds. The aggregate endani berries taste sour and somewhat bitter. He spits these out. After a few minutes, his stomach feels upset He doesn't know which berry caused it, however. Yana's travels take her to another forest clearing. Seeing that this patch could be suitable for settlement, she makes markings with her knife on some of the trees and continues eastward until she finds a river. In the river she sees some fish trying to swim upstream. With the plan of eating one of these, she searches for and finds a straight stick which she can use to spear the fish. She begins sharpening it with her knife. « Yana has discovered the Daliba » |

For every suggestive grin he gets, Theric just gives them back a stare of indifference. Sure, that's cool and all- but he still needs to know whose damn cloak it is. When he's out of the house, his eyes stare at the giant choco- Uh, Khaliyuna. That's a big chicken, he thinks to himself with a slow blink- but he carries himself onto his destination for now. For each of the uninformative replies he gets with his question, he's rubbing the back of his head as he's looking progressively more and more annoyed. When he finally makes his way over to the building, he approaches and hails one of the guards. Some simple questions, what the building is, whose cloak it is, and if he can look around from this spot to figure out the area surrounding the village. |

Väinö clutches his chest in hunger. He desperately searches for something to eat in the fog, trying to not let his exhaustion overwhelm him. After searching, he attempts to put those wooden beams up into a 2 row 2 column area, and puts the planks ontop. He stares as the flimsy boards shake with the wind. Väinö decides to search for any objects to bind it together with, and to fall asleep. He knows its day, but even the sunlight cant stop him. He has to sleep. The pain from the cold and his sores on him burns. |
| SWAT One:
Theric realizes that the village are tending to be tight-lipped about Theric's questions. the guard standing to the left side of the door—Theric's right—puts a palm out to stop him and tilts his spear in toward the doorway. The other guard also does the same. As Theric begins asking questions, however, the guards reply to him, as Theric understands it, "No, you don't [unknown] in the house [unknown]." They persist even more seriously when he seems to ask to enter more directly, even if to view around. They point to Theric, their own eyes with to fingers, and then the areas surrounding the village, seeming to indicate a path or route by which he can travel, though he does not understand what they are saying. When he asks them about the cloak, one of them half-smiles, but forces his lips sealed. The other clears his throat and shakes his head, pointing to the periphery to deflect the question. Väinö scours the forest for food and finds a few berry bushes, some red and round, some black and round, and others dark blue and aggregate. He cuts his hands slightly in his frantic movements. Fortunately, any blood that is flowing is so small of an amount that he isn't too concerned. Fortunately, the burns on his hand from the lantern has substantially subsided. It looks like the lantern is about to go out, however. His light construct falls over. I need something like rope, twine, or nails. There's no way that this will stand on its own, he thinks to himself. However, as the fog begins to lift after his search, he notices a wrecked boat crashed north of him, far in the distance. Aif, while searching for berries and dew, stumbles upon an old sickle-type sword, mostly buried under dirt, ferns and moss. Yana sets down her load by the river bank and again girds her loins. Making the best of her complete lack of adequate fishing skills, tries to thrust the newly-made spear into the water to kill the fish, but they dart away as she prepares. She tries this over and over again with little success, but eventually decides to stay still and wait, finally thrusting the spear through a mid-sized daliba's side. As quick as she can, she rushes to catch it and pull it from the water. She does so, struggling to maintain a grasp as it frantically wriggles about in her hands, however, she brings it to a flat stone a good distance from the water and uses her knife to take off its head, stopping the fish from moving. Now, for a fire... |

Aif endures the pains in his gut, making not to eat more moderately. He purses his lips at the sword. Examining it, he sees that the metal has corroded superficially, but is mostly sound, though the edge has dulled well beyond use. He wondered whether the land might be inhabited, be it by savages or a civilized people. He slides the sword between his body and belt as comfortably as he can and searches some more - perhaps there's more to be found. Regardless, he takes care to move as quietly as possible both in foraging and traveling, lest some unknown enemy get the drop on him. |
