Can I connect this condensor microphone directly to my motherboards soundcard?

- Its in the category of phantom psu's on amazon
- A mixer board is some stuff that studios use to mix multiple audio inputs and whatsnot and is expensive as stuff

You’re gonna get a terrible noise floor by using a mic into a card plugged into your mobo. You really should have a digital audio interface like a Scarlet 2i2 or something. Those will have 48v built into a button. Plus, I almost don’t believe that an XLR input would fit on a PCIe card, does your sound card even have XLR?

what are you going to be using this for? you shouldn't be buying a condenser mic for just talking to people as the setup and costs is far higher then just getting a typical microphone

I got myself a podcast micro with a usb interface instead.
Sound is not as good as the other one but ill take it. Its still a condensator which is nice.
