Adding in required ISP bribes will make them lose even more money. Expect to see vertical integration, with content being produced, marketed and distributed by the same entity with brand specific deals for the last mile - ie "stream netflix free! with your $100/mo verizon ultimate plan". Big players like disney, google, amazon, etc may look to acquire or merge with ISPs. Whoever has the most money and is willing to lose it for the longest period of time will be the last one standing and "win". The AI bomb goes off before any of this becomes relevant though. |
