to be fair a lot of game soundtracks aren't available otherwise, you let me know if you find an officially-released disc of Mario Party 3 songs
it's not really a question of "are these copyright claims legitimate," because they obviously are; it's the fact that his uploads aren't usually harming the copyright holder
