| Steam won't work on college wifi - how to fix w/o VPN? |

For whatever reason Steam does not let me go online when I use my college's wifi. What are the possible solutions to this that don't involve VPN's? (only saying without VPNs because i cant afford to pay for a vpn service subscription) |

if you have another computer you could put it at a friend's house and remote access the second computer with their wifi |

depending on why you're at the college, and what college you are at, some colleges offer a vpn for their library service (due to paywalled academic material the college paid for, and wants to make accessible to students). you can check to see if they have one and if you can sign up for an account, esp if you are attending a class at the college. |
