lmao rally i made like a billion minecraft modpacks (the minimal/some/manymods series) and i can say from experience that modded minecraft is way more fun because there's actual stuff to do. vanilla mc will become boring after playing it a few times.

I was speaking anecdotally from an experience when my group of friends spammed the server we were playing on with chickens until it crashed because I didn't want to fork out $10+ a month to the server owner to have some handicapped modpack that added literal ICBMs to the game and used like a billion GB of ram

I only play Minecraft when I'm out of town away from my stuff anyway

the clique does an annual terraria run every summer and last time we did a modded playthrough and that was the first time we never finished a terraria playthrough because it was so saturated with garbage and i think it ruined me ever wanting to play terraria again

You're right my attention span has never been short enough to even consider looking up modpacks for minecraft

my attention span has never held long enough to play garry's mod without mods for more than 2 hours at a time; my attention span is also not long enough to keep going after the ender dragon. i can't play terraria anymore because of the amount of times i've played it, mainly on my steam alt. but, my attention span has been long enough to keep playing vanilla minecraft from beta 1.4 to 1.5, when redstone was updated, and thats when i started it.

but, if you really dislike modded minecraft, just go play cappytainos.
