--- Quote from: KTLA ---Residents and visitors in Hawaii Saturday received a missile warning alert in error after an employee pushed a “wrong button” during a change of shift, the state’s governor said, and the human error created a panic on social media.
The alert read in all capital letters: “Ballistic missile threat inbound to Hawaii. Seek immediate shelter. This is not a drill.”

--- Quote from: CNBC ---Michael Kucharek, spokesman for the North American Aerospace Defense Command in Colorado Springs, Colorado, said NORAD and the U.S. Northern Command are still trying to verify what happened in Hawaii — but that "NORAD did not see anything that indicated any sort of threat" to the island.

Master Shadow Phoenix:
I slept through that missile warning alarm. I could've died.
but yeah, i heard that some old guy was in charge of the system at that time and pushed the wrong button. i assume that when i got that alarm on my phone, some new guy was in charge of the system. that's not the case i guess.
