What are your opinions, good and bad about the bl forums and the people on it?

Probably the fastest way to get on my nerves is to act all elitist and holier-than-thou, especially if you're a problem user. One of the more recent things that really pissed me off was Raccooner making fun of OfficerZach when he's demonstrably far worse than him (that's even supposing that Zach is a bad guy, he's provably grown in his time here to be actually a bit respectable). It's also outstanding how many people will just defend people doing really stuffty things, like with the whole beachbum private investigating scandal recently. I'm not going to dig into that anymore. there is nowhere else on the internet that you can witness the effects of putting random people together only connected through their playtime in a sandbox game, and that's why I love this forum so much
on social media you often feel like you're in an echochamber whereby the only views you hear are your own, then here you have borderline national socialists interacting with commies. I disagree that the political threads are bad because I have seen actual intellectual debate there, and though I don't agree with anything either say I respect cappytaino and tactical nuke for extensively using sources and actually backing up what they say instead of resorting to calling people carrot sniffers.
only big pet peeve about this forum I have is the shadow of anonymity that comes with threads like 'post real life pictures of yourself' where people just talk stuff about other's appearances without ever revealing themselves

Go look at the politics thread for the prime examples of this. 3/4 of the thread is just low effort posts to straight up stuffposts of a sentence or two at most which contribute very little to the discussion.
