You're using 1x2s when op used 2x4s. A 2x4, assuming you specifically want that 2 stud depth, is more efficient than 1x1x5s. It takes 5 2x4s to fill the same space as 8 1x1x5s. |

I did say this in the other post but I'll clarify just in case, I meant on the interior walls, not the exterior walls The exterior walls are fine in that the intention is a brick laid pattern (stretcher bond I believe it's called), you sacrifice efficiency for visual effect I believe (Although I suppose the best way to build is to consider both). As far as I know you can't possibly achieve a brick laid pattern with 1x1x5s. Err... Naw |
