Brick Stud textures Replacement

I haven't done any brick stud replacement stuff since 2011, and I have no idea how to replace my studs with Manty's textures. I've followed a bunch of guides and I got no results with any of them.

I think the folder is base/data/shapes/

Replace the textures and mark them as read only

Did that already, nothing happened
Edit: Never mind, some how it just fixed itself running blockland as an administrator. No clue why.
