Linda Brown of the Brown v. Board of Education case that ended segregation in schools, has died last Sunday in Topeka, Kansas. She was 9 years old when her father tried to enroll her in an all-white school. The board refused to accept her, so her father sued the state. The Court's ruling in 1954 states that "separate educational facilities are inherently unequal", ending segregation in schools.
