stuck at validating key

my friend's bl is stuck at validating key and we really need to fix this issue, i made this post for him since he has no forums account

i heard this from another topic:



my friend opened the 'hosts' folder but to no avail since the folder was 0 bytes and contained nothing

please help considering my friend hasn't been able to play bl for atleast a year and he really misses playing the game with his friends

^ had to cut out a bit of it due to a "security alert" bc i posted a random thing that had to do with system 32
