A lot of users here are old enough to have parents who knew nothing about the internet when they started using it.
My parents are only now figuring out how email works, and all they do with it is send animated e-cards to the relatives.

Idk, i guess I'm the outlier because my Grandparents can use computers more effectively than my parents...
maybe not idk.

One can build a PC, like a proper PC, and the other started and new how to effectively use my Virtual Boxes.

Meanwhile my parents are freaking out because the computer went into sleep mode because they thought it was
broken.

my parents never seemed to care. im honestly interested in how much my parents know about my internet usage

dad found out i was sending terrible PMs to people on blf when i was like, 12. i got a stern talking to about it. he was basically like, "son stop being a friend" and i was like "k"

they never blocked the internet ever so i guess they never knew about the try not to cum challenges or the gore binges

i once saw my dad browsing 4chan so maybe he just gets it

i pretty much introduced myself but of course they were like "u cant get skype or do this or that" when i was doing stuff until way later
my parents weren't actually computer illiterate at all but my dad wasnt the smartest about passwords and his paypal got hacked
my mom thought the blf was full of nothing but trolls and stuff thanks to stuff like cacti calling my home phone and the drama about my drawings a few years ago
