are you incapable of going to wikipedia, looking at the citations, and then realizing that every instance of nationwide censorship they list there is sourced and recorded in history? wikipedia is not a primary source you should reference for academic documents, but its not wholeheartedly false/wrong - in fact a lot of teachers and professors who aren't dense suggest that you start your research at wikipedia cause of all the citations you can begin your research with.

and stating that they're already on the slope isn't evidence - its the equivalent of saying "the fact you ate food you didn't cook yourself means that you're gonna die of food poisioning". where is the evidence that censorship of certain topics leads to a big brother government?

It is very true that Britain is a corrupt state (Which is basically what im saying) but so is america, right?

do you not get the purpose of citations? they cite articles and documents /not/ publicly editable so you can verify the information on the page, eg a textbook or US legal records.

im pretty sure he's just incapable of drawing conclusions like normal people. i wouldn't attribute this much malicious intent in his words - hes not shown enough intelligence to actually be consistent in his views on certain issues.
