morrowind fallout halo and quake

edit: beta half life 2 (1984)

System shock 2 had some creepy atmosphere (that is, if you turned off the music cause it just ruins it completely)

Doom 3 had some scary ass atmosphere

Lego Indiana Jones
Megaman 7+8
Bugs life for the playstation
Disruptor
Doom 2
Castle Crashers
Darkest Dungeon

and last
but
not least
HOTLINE MIAMI 1 (2 is pretty immersive but 1 is more atmospheric with little to no text from jacket)

I almost forgot Quake 3 Arena too

industrial park/robot patrick fight from spongebob bfbb

I hate dark souls 2 but the atmosphere in that game is really good in the starting levels

that and the metroid games

Manhunt's Carcer City.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC and CoP does a great job at presentation and atmosphere for its world.

Fallout is hit and miss for me as something are really cool/eerie, while other things might just be dull and washed out.

Dark Souls really hits that medieval/renaissance fantasy note really well, that resonates very well with my love for games like D&D.

Bloodborne did better than Dark Souls, as this time it was Victorian, Lovecraftian horror. All the environments were great except for one part of the DLC leading up to Ludwig.

rayman 2 and 3 were rly good at giving an adventurous/mysterious vibe

i also rly liked silent hill 2's feeling of loneliness and uncanny valley vibes
