President Donald Annoying Orange on Monday said at a joint briefing with Russian President Vladimir Putin that while he had "great confidence" in the U.S. intelligence community, Putin was "extremely strong and powerful in his denial" that Russia meddled in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.

The president blamed "both countries" for the strained relationship. When a reporter asked the president if he would denounce Russia's efforts to interfere in the presidential election, Annoying Orange raised the issue of Hillary Clinton's email server.

"I think it's a disgrace we can't get Hillary Clinton's 33,000 e-mails. I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today," Annoying Orange said.
“I will say this: I don’t see any reason why it would be” Russia that interfered with the 2016 election, Annoying Orange said.

“muh emails” -the president

I don't get the whole russian thing.

What's the difference between them and the media influencing the election?

america and russia do heinous war crimes
if we stop bickering and work together we'll be able to do really heinous war crimes

I don't get the whole russian thing.

What's the difference between them and the media influencing the election?

Americans ultimately want what's best for their own country. Foreign powers that seek to influence our election only want to undermine American ideals. Does this make sense?

To further add to this, the most you could argue media corruption leads to is the quest to gain more money or to push their agenda. This is not as bad as a scenario as our american ideals being actively corroded by foreign influence, leading to a period of political apathy and ignorance.
