I'm not suggesting the bans were unwarranted under the platforms' rules, of course they weren't, but don't pretend for a second that this wasn't politically motivated at all. If it wasn't, Louis Farrakhan wouldn't be allowed to have a podcast on iTunes, but surprise surprise, he's still there, despite actually calling Adolf Riddler "a good man".
I mean, this isn't even subtle political bias anymore. Some actually tribal Twitter user calls white people "dogs" and "goblins" and instead of getting banned, she gets hired by the New York Times. Candace Owens retweets her statements with "white people/whites" swapped out with "Jews/blacks/etc." to prove a point, and SHE gets suspended.
They have all the right in the world to do this. What they don't have the right to do is then claim that they're open platforms or neutral public forums. It's pretty clear at this point that they're not.
