These individuals decried this an act of racism. Chipotle responded by firing the manager.
Except one of the people involved tweeted openly about their constant dining and dashing. Now Chipotle is under fire for throwing the manager under the bus. They claimed to have no knowledge of the tweets before firing her, and are trying to hire her back. A journalist tweeted screenshots of an email he received after asking Chipotle representatives about the situation, showing that they were aware of the tweets at the time of the firing, causing further controversy.
