Source ports
ZDoom
(G)ZDoom downloads DOOM2.wad or DOOM.wad is required to use ZDoom.
ZDoom v2.8.1 is the barebones source port. Non-openGL.
GZDoom is an OpenGL version of ZDoom that provides a lot more options. It even adds bloom for brightmaps too.

Zandronum is multiplayer doom. Just like GZDoom you can use it as a source port for singleplayer too.

Slade 3 (3.1.4 as of now)

Slade 3 is the swiss army knife of doom editors. This is where you can make custom weapons, code & much much more.
Note: to compile ACS in Slade 3, you need to go to ZDoom.org and download ACC to compile your ACS text files into a .acs format.

Doom with LCA Dusted's clusterforget is great, but you need to have a good map pack to go along with it to get the full experience.

Yeah, but hideous destructor is my sweet spot. Unless you know how to play it like I do then you shouldn't have too much of a problem playing it. And if anyone is up to play some hideous destructor coop, go spam my discord inbox at [HotPocket]#1187.
