I recommend the 3DS because it can also play DS games, so there's a huge library for it. The switch is great if you like Smash or Splatoon, but personally I'm holding out til we get Animal Crossing and this year's Pokemon games.

I wish they would port over some of the WiiU games to the switch, cause I skipped the wiiu but there were still some good games that came out for it

Honestly the best console for VC injects is Wii and Wii U iirc. but the 3DS is a good portable option, but I believe the switch is getting up there too (Although thats not VC thats Retroarch but, it's close enough).
