are paypal donation chargebacks still a thing?

first of all it doesn't make sense to request a refund for a DONATION.

But are paypack donation charebacks still a thing?

like can someone donate 20, $1 donations and then I get slapped with a 20 dollar chargeback fee equalling 400 dollars?

Not if you only do transactions in person with cash

im pretty sure its a thing but the person that got donated to can block it or something its really forgety

i remember some dudes donated like 10 grand to some streamers as a joke and tried to chargeback afterwards but got blocked because the streamers where like "fuk u that literally wasnt a joke"

i think the point of chargebacks is that if you and lets say an online store agree that you didnt make that charge you can chargeback, but i think one of the parties can dispute it and it stops it

Why is paypal so scummy when it comes to this though.

20 dollar chargeback fees are bullstuff

I stopped using paypal to collect donations after this happened to me in around 2016. I can't say for certain it's still a thing but I doubt it's changed at all.
