Hypothetical question.

Say the world is going to die be like giant asteroid, global warming, etc.

Now let's say we had the technology to prevent and or fix it but it would cost trillions of dollars because people still expect to get paid even though the world is in stake.

Would we do it for free or would people around the world still be stubborn about money issues and won't fix the earth and wait for it to die

if it is going to happen within the next few years then yeah we'd help, but if it was some slow death that only really affects the next generation then we probably wouldn't care

well money is useless if the world's about to end so i'd assume that people would do whatever possible to prevent that as long as the technology was possible. better to be in debt than be dead right

that's only from an instant death standpoint like some sort of giant asteroid or whatever

Kinda funny people are worried about money even though the world is literally about to die and it will make all forms of currency useless as everyone is dead

the problem is people get greedy even in a crCIA like this that involves life or death

Well we were sure on the ozone hole over Australia pretty quickly (although china is still using the banned products that forgeted it up).

entirely depends on media and government reaction. depending on the spin in non-mainstream media, people may not believe its nearly as bad as the mass media/scientists portray it

see: climate change still being blown off and cited as a “theory” by certain right wing groups, despite nearly all scientists agreeing it is a real and worrying trend we have to prepare for and curb

no matter how right scientists may be, if the mass populace doesnt believe them, society will forget itself over. unfortunate truth.

It'd likely be turned into a party issue and any legislation would get held up in political gridlock.
See: climate change

we would do it last minute like always
