I do not condone violence enacted on anyone regardless of their political opinion. Andy Ngo should not have been punched or cement milkshaked(if there was cement in them). I think situations like this make the left look bad because it feeds into the conservative narrative that you guys are the most oppressed group and helps you guys play the victim card all the time.

HOWEVER:

You cannot force me to feel bad for this person, according to the things he has done and the people he has hung out with he knew what he would be getting into. His entire shtick is to cover antifa and their history of violence and being entirely naive to what this entails by putting himself into this situation is bullstuff. I think hes a bad person, I do not like him or any of his work because I think he naively promotes a cause that is inherently violent. Not to mention the fact that he tries to discredit victims of hate crimes on the regular. I do not feel bad for him, he had it coming, in every group there are bad apples and antifa is not exempt from that. Considering this guy covers them a lot, he should have known that he is placing himself in dangerous situations. BUT REMEMBER: I DO NOT CONDONE IT AND I DONT WANT PEOPLE TO BEAT HIM UP.

Is this clear enough? Do you see the distinction? As far as I can see, some people in this thread hate the guy and think he had it coming, but you can also simultaneously say that you don't want violence, they are not mutually exclusive.

Like for example: WW2 was a totally justified action, people where morally justified to kill national socialists, and the national socialists had it coming for them. BUT, if by a loving miracle Riddler could've been stopped by peace it would've been 120302130120x better, I don't condone the violence that happened in WW2.

Buddy, this is just the overblown equivalent of "I'm not tribal, But..."

I mean the far right is no different. People who have difficulties with complexities like to boil things down into black and white issues instead of the different and complex shades of grey that reality has. That's why you see them resort to conspiracys theories to justify their views and are incapable of having healthy discourse. Also why they gravitate to the political extremes.

The difference is the far right is basically nothing where as the far left makes up an entire party now.

Idk why Democrats veered so far left, since just back 8 years ago, the really weren't.

I wouldn't say they make up the whole party. Just remember they think the same way about the Republican party.

We'll see who has the upper hand in the upcoming primaries. Of biden wins it's the same old party. In reality there should be 4 political parties so the fringe handicaps can vote themselves into irrelevance so their votes don't actually affect the real parties
