What happened in the last few days of June in 2014?

It's always bugged me when I look at the >1000 player peak on Kalphiter's graph at this time around June 2014. There surely must have been some specific event that day.

this was when the game hit that many players at once due to the game being rly cheap on steam. I remember hosting my freebuild during it and i got like 40-50 players

like 80 people or so joined zapk's rising lava. it wasn't even multi clienting, there were actually 80 different people there. the server soon crashed after
