also i thought one advantage to paper straws is that they are biodegradable (or are they)? sure recyclability is a good thing to have, but a ton of the plastic straws would never end up being recycled and they where one time uses.

paper is biodegradable

plastic doesnt degrade

that is what makes plastic an environmental challenge
