Not sure I agree, and I'm fairly liberal for American standards while being critical of authoritarian tactics from the left.

His comparison to "gay national socialists" is beyond insultingly stupid, and his remarks about opposing student protesters is a total bait and switch. He loving gathered outside people who don't attend JHU to combat the students and vandalized the building with boltcutters.
regardless of his actions, justifiable/correctly described or not, the double standard exists and has potential to undermine truly judging people as is, without race or gender in question. he may be a bad example of a reasonable conservative but that does not automatically invalidate his points.

i completely agree in regards to unnecessary insults/derogatory comparisons - thats what i meant about him enabling liberals painting him as biased and improperly judgemental. it makes his position and perspective feel less legitimate.
