I have permitted myself. I am a straight. I highly value the condition of my spine. I acknowledge my sympathy for all those who have crooked or bent spines. I hope your doctor can re align your spine soon.

Best wishes- sincerely- soldier101@
i have 60 degrees scoliosis and it honestly doesnt hurt unless i bend at strange angles

Really? There isnt any aching? Even if only when its raining or something? I am deeply intrigued. Would you personally have it any other way? Is there treatment? If there is, is it simply too expensive? I apologize for you pain while wiping tables. It does not seems fair that a action so simple should come at such a cost.
Genuinely curious, Thank you for sparing some of your time.

standing up for too long makes like 3/10 pain but i think that's just because i'm out of shape. the only really horrible pain comes from aforementioned strange bending. picking up heavy stuff is OK because i lift with my legs. i don't get any pain from the rain. my range of movement is not affected as far as i know. i just walk with a limp and my shoulders are uneven.
there's surgeries to straighten spine but i haven't gotten any of those because i don't think it affects me enough to be worth it. i think my lack of pain is because most of my curvature is in lumbar spine? people with upper spine curve have more problems i think so they have more pain and get surgery. surgery is really expensive because America.
fun fact: some scummy spine surgeon tried to pressure me into getting surgery by threatening that my ribs would puncture my lungs if my curve got bad enough. he was really loud and kind of an starfish so i switched to a different spine doctor that wasn't an starfish.

whoops this is the pride thread. last year i told my doctor that i'm trans and i want testosterone Please Help Me and she was just like "lmao good luck with that" and didn't help :^)

chiropracty is a coinflip between pseudoscience and actual science, dont use them for spinal issues. look up the history of it + how you become a qualified one to see why.

u want a bone/joint doctor (orthopedic doctor) to properly treat ur back

rip on being able to get testosterone from ur doctor. maybe look into getting it via other methods?

buy it off the internet

starfish doctor wasnt a chiropractor; genuine spine surgeon that fixes spines for money. better doctor works at hospital and is spine specialist. i did have a chiropractor for a while, he wanted to put botox in my back muscle as experimental treatment to stop the curve progress lmao. didn't take him up on that offer.

unfortunately my mother absolutely refuses to pay for any trans-related treatment and my parents both seem to try to ignore that i came out at all even though i came out three loving times. my mom thinks something unspeakably horrible will happen to me if i medically transition and makes up weird reasons to discourage me from transitioning like "you're too short to be a man no one will want you".

i've been looking at Plume Health or planned parenthood to acquire The Drugs but i need to acquire a stable income to do that. i don't feel safe applying for local entrance-level jobs because of COVID even though i'm vaccinated now. also some terror that my father might throw away my medication or something worse if he finds the needles.

testosterone is a controlled substance. you can't get it without a prescription and it is illegal to ship in the mail unless you're licensed to send those kinds of drugs.

phew good thing i'm superstraight

third time wasnt the charm, rip. gl with transitioning in the future! good to hear ur not using a chiropractor, its kinda scary how many prople don’t realize its fake medicine for the most part

I dont know about that. I have a genetic phenomenon where my hip starts to displace itself overtime. My father has it, my grandpa does not by my great grandpa had it.
A chiropractor was able to realign my hip and the pain goes away until it unaligns itself again (couple weeks).
It is true that it is fake medicine for the most part, because out of the four chiropractors I tried only one was able to help. The rest did “something” but i think it caused more pain than it helped. Pretty odd how many bad chiropractors there are.

yeah im not tryna diss the good chiropractors who use methods based in modern medical science. the field itself is just littered with lots of pseudoscience and marketing schemes, and only recently has been improving due to changes in required training to get a license. however these changes are happening on a local rather than national scale.

it literally was created by some random guy saying that with special spinal postures/treatments you can literally get magical disease purging powers.

What a funny medical anecdote. Thanks for sharing. I agree with what you say.
