Disable Paint/Build GUI without disabling crosshair and item slots

Asking how to Disable Paint/Build GUI without disabling crosshair and item slots.
Like script film mode but leave chat and crosshair and item slots alone.  Fine with putting the work in myself, just dont really know where to start.
Any idea? Thanks

I kinda disregarded the settings tab as I read in another post that hiding some of the other gui tabs in the settings didnt actually hide them, as they would re appear, but as it seems unchecking show hud fixes the issue.
