I used to think this too, then I either smoked too much weed or grew up. Weed is a thing just like any other thing. Would you give stuff to someone who talked constantly about their coffee roaster? Or how about someone who really enjoys growing peppers?
Weed has gotten me into Horticulture, Chemistry and has helped me meet tons of people, what's wrong about that?

not really, it's just that if you were to tell someone that they're addicted to caffeine, alcohol, cigarettes, or hell even hardcore drugs they're more likely to say "yes, I have a problem and I'm working on it/don't care" than a pothead. marijuana is also a drug where you just don't really do anything productive so a comparison to a passion for gardening or the need to drink coffee to stay awake/focused isn't really one-to-one. i dont have an issue with pot, it's just that a lot of people who do it are really god damn annoying about it and never shut up about it. not to mention it loving reeks

I feel like you just don't like weed and you're creating some kind of stereotype in your head. People don't just smoke weed and lay there for the rest of the day doing literally nothing.
Like if I smoke and go do the dishes am I not doing anything productive? How about going to the beach or hiking? Or hell if I stock shelves at a grocery store high am I not being productive?
Edit: On top of that I literally have a chart on my wall right now since the 22nd with marks for each time I've smoked as I want to make sure I keep it in check.
