he shouldn't be excused, nor should he shoulder the blame for them either. he could've hired more moderation to dish out 'justice' towards the child enthusiasts, on top of the high probability that they were all served a court order to register as love offenders.
however, badspot is big on keeping evidence of malice public so that everyone can see that it happened, form their opinions and respond accordingly. he rarely removes posts and instead just moves them to drama on top of a ban. expecting him to personally take time out of his day to investigate and punish others as well as remove their posts and any trace that they exist, is unrealistic.

to clarify, an argument could be made that he is negligent towards the ills in his own community. you can argue that he could be doing more to deal with the harassment that his users face. however, the argument that he's a child enthusiast/child enthusiast supporter/transphobe/common sense supporter is always a huge loving stretch and that's where i disagree with a few people. not necessarily you Unova, because you make good points on his behavior.

gonna be real here the internet daddy issues a lot of people exhibit on here is genuinely creepy stuff. if you somehow think badspot is somehow worse than your average goon from the mid 2000s or that this place was especially rancid compared to other internet spaces of it's time then you're totally forgeted deluded. if you really need someone to blame for the 'trauma' that you feel may have resulted from this website, blame your parents for leaving their child with unsupervised internet access.
