like 3 years ago i got my hands on a physical copy of unreal tournament goty from my brother and uploaded it to archive.org at

turns out that recently ut99.org (the largest community for the game currently from what i can tell) and the oldunreal team (group of people with access to the game's source code that develop patches for it) came across my upload, sanctioned it as the download people should use, and got official approval from epic games themselves to link to it. hell they made an installer (
https://www.oldunreal.com/downloads/unrealtournament/full-game-installers/) that downloads my upload of it automatically and patches it. also major gaming news websites are making articles about it (just google "unreal tournament" and check the news section) which is really amusing
