Anyone partake? Wishing skiing wasn't so expensive. I inline skate which I think counts? Ran into a truck the other day so pretty sure.

Any fun injures? Any stories? Wanna brag about broken bones? I got a broken left collar bone after hitting a crack wrong and also fractured my leg as a kid by... sitting on the back of my skis and falling over wrong.

skiing and snowboard is really fun but yeah its a rich white people extreme sport.

any skii resort you go to will let you rent out some gear for the day though. it might still be on the expensive side but its worth trying out at least once. and unless you live on one of the states bordering canada, most of your touristy resorts are almost always gonna have stuff snow which is hard as a rock

I've always wanted to try some, but my body is too stuffty and frail to manage. The most extreme I could probably manage are vehicular sports.

Used to go skiing when I had time and money. I really enjoyed it and never got hurt too bad.
Worst fall was when I was having a nice calm morning going down some basic jumps to warm up and I hit a jump going maybe 20mph tops.

Well I clear the jump and am suspended in the air when I see that hidden at the bottom of the jump is a snowboarder just sitting there on his phone.
To avoid colliding with the back of his skull I had to do this stupid semi-barrel roll in the air and land on my side in a complete yardsale (where all your gear goes flying every which way) and proceeded to slide face first on my chin down the slope some thirty feet, tearing up my chin and neck on the ice layer on top of the snow and dislocating my shoulder. Didn't get so much as a sorry from the forgeter who abandoned the scene when other skiers had stopped to scold him and help me collect my things.

forget snowboarders lol

do some rock climbing and put those gooner muscles to practice. bonus points if you're a toe curler.

Though but seriously big wall rock climbing looks wicked and also looks like something you can do into your 60s. Terrifying but also enticing.
