If by that you mean the Right-Wing lunatic I used to be? Those days are gone.
But indeed, I lived in the panic and fear that fermented far right maniacs and monsters.
The constant drum beat of hate and division. The Othering, Division, egotistical inflation
over that which is literally skin deep. I very much remember living in the Cult.
No one comes out of that unchanged.
But unlike so many others, my breaking point was not the end of my sanity.
In a moment,that I can only describe as miraculous, when my fever had hit it's peak
I disconnected myself from everything online relating to any form of politics whatsoever.
For the first time in years I was able to think without a constant nagging fight or flight panic
dictating my every decision, action and inaction. I was able to make assessments based on
something other than fear, panic, anger and hate.
But, those feelings are so very hard to shake when you've become so accustomed to them.
I had to channel them somewhere, so what better place then back unto itself?
I will never forgive those who took advantage of me while I was young to try and forge me into
a tool of their bigotry.
After the war, even as recent as 2022, national socialists are still facing the consequences of their actions and are being sentenced in a court of law.
In a world where every event is documented, and there are cameras in every pocket. Every war crime, human rights violation, or act of horror will be recorded and remembered.
And when the dust settles "I was just following orders" will not be a valid excuse.
