If you want to engage in a debate on youtube or MSN or something, go ahead. But there is absolutely no justification for filling up their general discussion forums with links to shock sites. From what I've been able to tell from a quick search on their  forums is that someone with the name "Blockland" posted a bunch of shocksites everywhere. That is probably why they use Blockland as a metaphorical bogeyman on the forums- and rightly so. The creator of the game has made it quite clear he doesn't want you guys discussing Blockland on his forum, so you should respect his wishes.

There is a big difference between healthy competition and being a total nintendo, and I'd say a good portion of this community rests on the nintendo side.

But the games don't need to compete since they cater to completely different markets.

Finally, if Roblox is filled with 5 year olds, why do people try and get them to play Blockland? Do you really want a bunch of 5 year olds in the game?

No, we do not want 5 year olds in the game, it is just that their horrible community keep  calling blockland hate stuff and attempt to drag us into Roblox.
A-master:
It was our community that started doing it to them, not the other way round. All they did was respond in kind. So please, just drop it.

And Packer, this so called 'competition' has never been healthy at all. No one here is better off now than they were before, it hasn't created any intention for the community nor Badspot(Who really doesn't care.) to further improve Blockland. Infact, all it did was turn us into complete asshats.

I didn't say anything about trying to get them to play Blockland, nor did anyone else.

you don't see it. but blockland is being discussed by their community. their admins and developers, in game by players and on their mod/fans sites.
and many of them demo the game here. even if its lot of hate talk, they cant hide the things they like about our game, even if they wont admit it to each other.

for all you know, their developers are considering many updates or changes to the game, or engine because of blockland's influence. not that it helps us really, but this is how everything in the world improves. the 2 immature community's have no effect on each other, other then building a stigma to scare away people from trying both games.

who knows, maybe roblox will make a new version like blockland did, on a different engine and with all sorts of the things you guys like. and could be the leading game that makes us favor it as the awesome sandbox. and thx to the competition for encouraging it.
hell, we were not even aware of retail blockland till it was near release lol. they could have projects to.
yes we loved 0002, but it was far unstable compared to current roblox, nothing is stopping that game from taking a step up also. but if they arnt pushed by any games it could never happen.

just because they arnt competition in our market don't mean, as a sandbox game in general they wont try to keep up with things,
