Lego Universe is targeting the younger audience and probablly has alot of filters, so it's safer than Blockland
Yes, but it'll only take one person building a snake to attract media attention.

lol your right but its kinda good to have moderators, cause some of these Blockland people being tribal and talking about very loveual stuff should be banned for a period of time. So i think there should be some kind of moderators.

nah, I think it should be left to the community to fix it's own problems. besides moderators wouldn't work because people host their own servers to rule how they please, if blockland only had a couple servers that were all run by badspot it would be a different matter.  POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

My friends refuse to play blockland, and insist on waiting for lego universe, -_-

Lego Universe is Roblox with HD graphics and a better building system that is made for kids.

@ Yeturn, your friends will be disappointed.

no its not, its an mmorpg. very very different then blockland or roblox.
and none of you know anything at all about the game, because theres not enough info to judge even the slightest bit yet.

the damn official site don't even seem to have screenshots yet, nor details on game play or how building will be done.
so what the hell are you all voting for? based on what exactly?

hell, eve IF lego universe was a sandbox game, it would give BS and blockland a crazy run for its money. as lego can pull out a sick budget, and a far superior game engine out of its ass like its a joke.

Yes, but the more power you have, the more responsible you've got to act. Especially with a child infested company like Lego. They'll have so many restrictions.

If this is more of a mmorpg than a sandbox, And has physics comparable with Gmod, Expect me to attempt to become the first lego man in space in LU :D

No, nothing changes. all you need is the same disclaimers everyone uses.
also i don't see how that has anything to do with if LU or blockland is better...

I don't think it would do as well if it was purely an MMORPG. Let's think for a second, why do kidsand some adults :P play with Lego? Because you can build things you came up with in your head. If Lego wants to make an RPG, they should either quit right now, or go for the sandbox style, because if someone wants to play an MMORPG, they play Wow, or if they're eight, Runescape.

As for my views on LU; there can be many ways to play a game on a computer. The first being played in your Internet Browser, the second being downloaded straight from the 'net, like BL or bought from a store and stored on a CD. If it was played in an internet browser, then it would lag horribly if it wasn't done right. Blockland proved to me that a game from the 'net wouldn't lag most of the time. As for a CD approach, this could be best. However, if you're scared of little kids being the primary consumer, then this should be avoided. Only people who are interested in the game enough would try to find it, whereas little kids won't. Besides from what I've seen, it could be fun, what with the sheer Lego style and humor.

I would not be surprised if you played it. Anyway, on topic, Blockland will be better. I like it because the money keeps [MOST] noobs out. Unlike Lego Universe is going to be a 'Community' of 9 year olds that don't know how to build and/or no hand-eye coordination.

are you kidding? this is lego making a video game. and like most mmos, you can assume its going to be subscription.
40-50 bucks for game in store + 12-14 bucks monthly to play.

by your logic, blockland is where the noobs will be drawn to. simply for money's sake. blockland is the cheap way to go then

I was meaning they wont just let you build anything you want. If they did that their real lego blocks and minisets would be worthless.
