That sounds ungodly gay. I think I'll buy a mac if that ever happens. |

not that i ever expect to lose my connection to the net no matter when or where. but requiring net access for constant verification for common computer use will suck. but for a game i don't see it falling through that badly. if they didn't want to support it anymore they could just easily patch it to no longer need to be net-verified anymore. by that time, its day would have passed anyway, and pirate's wouldn't hurt sales much. games have proven more time tested then apps anyway |

And I'm sure people will be there buying into it. You need only look at the current history of attitudes from computer/gaming customers to see where the pattern is going. Not a few years ago most video gamers wouldn't have accepted monthly fees or pay to download content even for MMOs, but now today they're all for it in their games. You'll see soon most customers will be for a monthly OS as well. --- Quote from: Bisjac on May 11, 2008, 07:06:02 PM ---if they didn't want to support it anymore they could just easily patch it to no longer need to be net-verified anymore. --- End quote --- You can not be certain though that they will actually do that. I have little reason to believe they will. Don't forget at least for Spore it has the same publisher who willfully shuts down multiplayer support for every yearly Madden game. |
