Hell you don't even need to go that far, just switch your recording settings in Volume Controls to Stereo Mix. Push record in Sound Recorder and boom. Song. Though its not always the best of quality its better than using a microphone.

You should download Wavepad, google "Wavepad free download" (cuz its free) but its only for Windows, so I hope you have Windows.
Do what Swholli said. Then you have the song.
It can also change to a mono, and save as a .ogg.
