I was thinking of a summer project (Fps) that would have a REALLY good plot, involving real things such as the Kashmir conflict and the Strait of Hormuz, and have something like how the Kashmir conflict evolved into Nuclear warfare, shutting down China along with taking a toll on the global economy. I think it sounds good, but I find it to be so realistic that some would think it is a "Hate game." I also lol'd at how someone made a game called "Ethnic Cleansing" on the Genesis3D engine. |

Characters Seriously, people, do we need huge boobs on any and every female character in games? They're loving polygons! I like Valve and Nintendo, because they LIKE diversity in characters! They have a mix of race, gender, etc. What is wrong with a normal looking female? Nothing! Genre Ok, we already have 5,000 generic shooters, how is yours different? Grand Theft Auto has the crime factor, Portal has the portals, Half-Life series has a good plot. Yes good plots are nice too. Or, you can choose one of the genres that you see NO games of, like, puzzle, and such. Online Junk One thing that bugs me: voice chat. Yes, it does annoy me, give a way to turn it off, or mute, PLEASE! It's good for strategizing, or machinima, not Rick Roll, or ear rape. Have a text chat mute and such too. Add something unique, like the rival system in Burnout, or a free roam pre-match setup time. Have many game modes. Make good dedicated management. Graphics < Gameplay Make us be able to change quality, for better performance, for old computers. Just make the game look good enough to know what everything is, feel free to polish a lot, but look at Crysis, many people do not suggest it, it's gameplay wasn't good enough. (from what I've heard.) After graphics are good, then you test to see if quality broke gameplay then release, not make good looking stuff, then gameplay. make the gameplay unique, as stated in the "genre" section. Also, release when YOU want, not when fans do, look at Badspot, he doesn't give a stuff about us wanting v9 so bad. That is all, so discuse. No console wars stuff. --- End quote --- I have never seen a African-American or Hispanic person in a nintendo game. --- End quote --- metroid prime 3 wii |

I really do prefer my games to have an edge on graphics. Like the up-coming game Grid. The reason it brings me in is the graphics, but it is a fun game to play. It's not like I'd ever say something sucks because of the graphics, but I can admit that graphics do mean a lot to me. Games like Crysis are always really cool to me because they show me just how good graphics can get at the current time. That being said, I think a lot more developers need to go for an original, stylized look instead of a hyper-realistic one. |
