I loved the lego star wars games, but I don't see how it can compete with Blockland.  If anything, they hit the same market in a non-competative way, like having a bakery next to a jelly shop.

That is probably one of the best brown townogys I have heard in a long time.

Simple.

No one has already played it nor seen it in gaming mode... So that is contrary to the statement that we should compare these two games..

Badspot pretty much summed it all up i believe in his first post.

There's no reason to hate on them.  I think it'll be successful.  They've finally hit on a profitable formula with Lego Star Wars which they're now extending to Lego Indiana Jones, Lego Batman, and LU which is basically Lego WoW.  They're solid games but none of them are going where Blockland is.  I could be wrong, but I would be very surprised.
Badspot, hate to say it, but if LU is anything Like Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Batman, It's going to be very superior to Blockland.

No it's not, in all of those games you run around shooting little laser things from you're gun.

It's nothing close to the same game style, unless you're speaking graphical wise. Even then graphics are great in a game, but they don't keep the house to the ground.

Dammit Nick, Blockland is a building game which, to me, is all/most game genres combined. I am very sure that Lego Universe, as Badspot said, will feature free building like Blockland. For example, I am sure that you won't just log in and find a spot to build in LU and chat with others around who are building in different lots around you. LEGO wouldn't let that happen considering that kids as low as five could be playing the game. Blockland, in my opinion can fully be considered a Mature to Adult game due to its free build/chat and sandbox nature. People could say or build anything online and thats why. Of course on the other hand, if you couldn't say anything (probably like LU) Blockland wouldn't even be 1/2 as fun to me, and probably lots of other players. Lastly, I don't think that LU will feature the scripting ability like Blockland does. Of course these are my predictions which I can't confirm at the moment.

Game Play May Change durining on-line play, which means that while online the game could be considered Adult only ( Kaphixs Server any one)

i don't like the fluid movement that lego is using on their avatars in video games, one thing blockland has kept old school.

we all know what a lego is, and how they move and what they should do. changing things just because its digital and you CAN make it look pretty, kills what bisjac appreciates about the toys.

i know where a minifig's joints are. thats where they should move

Bisjac is th only one here that should be talking in third person  :cookieMonster:

Yep, but i wouldnt say blockland has mature people. recently it's been quite bad for maturity.

I'm sure GTA with it's M rating and hookers and immature people.  I blame the US and its lack of need to actually grow in maturity.

lol the US is to blame that a private company wants to be immature?
the US would love to censor tons of our media, but its hard to when they brag about all the freedoms we apparently have that most the world don't.

to bad other countries cant say the same.
lol@banned stuff overseas
cant claim you live in a free country when even movies can get nation banned lol. lamers
