I agree.
I used to have longer hair than you. The ONLY...and I mean ONLY pro about long hair is you can headbang.

It also keeps my head and ears warm during winter time. Once you pour water on it it stays wet longer, thus it's more refreshing during the summer time.
Also, headbanging = epic win, so short hair sucks and I don't see any pros for it.
