My download speed is usually about 500kb/s but jumps up to 1mb/s during non-peak hours. I have four other computers on my connection, but they usually aren't downloading anything except for whatever web page they are currently on, so I typically have the bulk of the connection for myself. My upload speed is a lot lower, around 300kb/s.
