It's not that bad if you can manage to make money. Also, if they fixed the horrifying lag I would play it.
I managed to make like $3, and then blew it all in the casino. It was still fun because it was me and Mojo. Playing games with friends is never boring.

There's lots to do. I tried creating a model or something but I sucked, and then we went to a ware house to get some clothes and stuff, and then I got some money from that hippie stuff, then we sat on those chairs for around 3 days, watching research, movies, music, etc.
Then we went to a casino and blew it all. :D

Unfortunately, i learned that Second Life is terrible the hard way (I used to play it, so hated it...)

Yeah. Bout 3 years ago SL was a nice place to be til all these Idiots started joining and doin things against rules e.g Hacking the engine (dunno how they did it).

Lego Indy
and StarWars Galaxies (awsome game. would be better if it was F2P)
