Ok, I need some help that for some reason I can't locate anywhere else. What is ore exactly? I need to make metal, but I don't know of any substance that I put into the foundry that makes metal. help please :P

You need a foundry with ore + a firing material (That is, wood, coal or oil) to melt the ore into metal.

I use coal.  It's cheapest.

Yeah coal is usually the best when its found in large amounts becasue wood is very limited and essential to building, and oil sells for so damn much.
