Ok maybe confirm was the wrong term.� Unless Badspot changed it, new users must be approved by an admin.� That was when he sorted most users into the "Blockhead" group a while back.

Instead of burning it to a DVD and mailing, You could always upload and send them the link in email.
Should not be too hard to find the parents email, given his.
