Loading saves from a different level

I was wondering, out of curiosity, if anyone has noticed that when you load some saves from different maps, that they will load in the right place?
For example, if you load something from Bedroom while at Slate, it will actually load on the ground. Also, if you load a Slate save in the Bedroom, it will actually load.

Or inside the bedroom and load a kitchen save it floats.
