When i record its fine but when i play the video its 2x faster what are the settings to make it playback at normal speed?

Just use an editing program to slow it down.

i'd say that one is only good for screen recording, not recording games i tried camtasia for blockland and the window just went black when i pressed rec, when i pressed stop it returned to normal.

Might be just for bl i dono

Fraps is a piece of stuff :3
People only use it because it is over-simplified for stupid people.

Fraps is directly rendered without compression.  If someone is too lazy to modify the output file, they can surely use an alternative program with stuff video quality.
